CSIO5* Nations Cup Falsterbo

For the first time in 13 years Meredith and Markus competed together on a German Nations Cup team - also being the only married couple to ride in a Nations Cup for the same country! It was also Daisy's Nations Cup debut and the first one for Markus and Comanche as a team.

As Germany was eligible for points in Falsterbo, the pressure was on the German team, the other members being Andre Thieme and Janne-Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann. Daisy and Comanche jumped impeccably throughout both rounds - both Meredith and Markus delivered two flawless rounds, helping Germany head into a three-way jump-off for the win.

Chef d'equipe Otto Becker picked Markus and Comanche for the job, who showed yet another amazing round - fast and clear as the first starter in the jump-off, securing a second place

finish for Germany!!

Zum ersten Mal seit 13 Jahren traten Meredith und Markus zusammen für Deutschland in einem Nationenpreis an - außerdem als das einzige verheiratete Paar, das für das gleiche Land in einem Nationenpreis reitet!

Der Druck auf dem deutschen Team (zu dem auch Andre Thieme und Janne-Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann gehörten) war groß, denn Falsterbo zählt zu den Nationenpreisen, bei denen sich das Team für das Finale im September qualifizieren kann.

Daisy und Comanche sprangen beide herausragend, sodass Meredith und Markus in beiden Runden ohne Fehler blieben und so maßgeblich dazu beitrugen, dass Deutschland mit ins Stechen um den Sieg einzug. Dort fiel die Wahl des Bundestrainers auf Markus und Comanche, die als erster Starter schnell und erneut ohne Abwurf blieben und so den zweiten Platz sichern konnten!
